Dr. Sandy Anderson, DVM
Dr. Sandy was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she married her forever soulmate Clint Anderson. Living in a suburb of Pittsburgh, she worked as a dental hygienist for 15 years, including 6 years as a dental hygienist at the Veterans Administration Mental Health Services Hospital. In 1999 they sold their house, quit their jobs, and moved to Iowa, where Sandy entered Iowa State Veterinary School. Upon graduation, Dr. Sandy practiced for 3 years as an associate veterinarian in Eureka, Montana in a mixed animal practice. However, small animal practice was her calling, and subsequently in 2006 they purchased Lakeside Veterinary Clinic from Dr. Earl Colton, and began Great Northern Veterinary Center in the small, lovely tourist town of Lakeside, Montana, on the West Shore of Flathead Lake.

The name was changed to Great Northern Veterinary Center after Clint’s love for all things trains, and especially the Great Northern Railroad which ran through Northwest Montana many years prior. They have worked side by side in the same office since 2006, with Clint as the full time receptionist and office manager, and Dr. Sandy as the sole full time veterinarian. Lakeside is a wonderful community to live in, and to provide veterinary care. We invite you to visit our newly remodeled office, and enjoy the beautiful views Lakeside has to offer!
